The Important Role of Cold Mixer for PVC Compound

Cold mixer plays an important role in PVC pre-mixing.

First, cold mixing immediately after heat mixing is to prevent the degradation of the hot mixed material stored at high temperature for a long time, especially white PVC products, such as PVC window profile and PVC pipe, which surface finish and whiteness without cold mixing will be greatly reduced. 

Secondly , the hot mixed material can easily absorb moisture if cooling under a natural state without cold mixing , thereby adversely affecting the extrusion process. 

Thirdly , cold mixing can further remove the water vapor and the volatiles from the hot mixed material. 

Fourth, cold mixing can greatly reduce the phenomenon of caking and bridging.
