1. Twin screw large diameter D: There are more than ten models of twin screw extruder, twin screw diameter range of 12~135mm, twin screws of different diameters can match motors of different power sizes. For example, KTE-36 twin screw, large diameter D=35.6mm. It can match 15KW/18.5KW/22KW/30KW/37KW three-phase asynchronous motor.

 

2. Screw length-diameter ratio L/D: refers to the ratio of the length of a section of cylinder (expressed in L) to the large diameter of the screw (represented by D). The relationship between them is generally 4 times, that is, L=4D; The size of the screw length-diameter ratio determines the effect of material mixing and dispersion. Generally, for materials with a high powder filling ratio, the screw length-diameter ratio should be selected to be larger, that is, the longer the screw length.


3. Gearbox torque level T/A3: The torque level of a twin screw gearbox is generally 5.6~13 T/A3. The higher the gearbox torque level, the greater the torque it can withstand and can be matched with a higher power motor. Correspondingly, the production capacity of the twin screw extruder will be higher.


4. Twin screw maximum rpm: The maximum speed of twin screw is divided into Max. 500rpm, Max. 600rpm, Max. 800rpm, Max. 900rpm, Max.1000rpm. Speed and torque are inversely proportional, the higher the twin screw speed, the lower the torque that the extruder can withstand correspondingly, different materials have different viscosity and fluidity, and the appropriate speed of the twin screw extruder should be selected according to the characteristics of the material.
