Organic Flame retardant ABS
Organic flame retardant (e.g. PSPTR, MA, MCA, SOL-DP, HDP, IFR, PDTA, DCP, PEPB, etc. ) has good flame retardancy. It is helpful for ABS to form homogeneous carbon layer during combustion and reduce thermal decomposition rate, thus improving its flame retardant effect.

The LOI is only about 20%. Therefore, how to improve the flame retardancy of ABS and ABS / PC alloys will still be a hot topic in the future. We can start with the following two aspects: 1) develop a new flame retardant with higher flame retardant efficiency; 2) two or more flame retardants were mixed to play the synergistic effect of flame retardants. In short, with the higher and higher demand for the flame retardant properties of polymer materials, green environmental protection has gradually become the development direction of flame retardants.
